Duties and Responsibilities of the Process Engineer – Plating Specialty:

• Take ownership of Plating processes and maintain, optimize and develop the process surrounding it. This will include the setup and control of Plating processes and Factory Control Systems.
• You will also implement and maintain necessary controls to achieve consistently stable processes, perform data analysis using JMP, respond to yield issues and deliver continuous improvement projects.
• Interact with other Management Team Members on a daily basis.
• Maintain and optimize Plating tools for which you will have ownership
• Document, sustain and improve processes/ measurements.
• Evaluate trend charts to maintain and improve process and tool capability
• Monitor yield and defect data to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Provide plans and actions for appropriate trials, Design of experiments and optimizations.
• Initiate and implement Process Change Authorizations, production Aids, and Manufacturing Process updates to support process clarification and improvement, and keep all necessary documentation up to date.
• Characterize Plate processes to deliver the best recording head performance
• Characterize interactions between various materials.
• Evaluate new materials for enhanced process improvement or cost improvement.
• Plan, organize and conduct experiments to optimize processes and production performance
• Plating process engineer Monitor downstream parameters and identify issues, Qualify equipment sets for production, Support production and research and development needs, Participate in cross-functional teams, and Lead projects.
