Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

• Operating, servicing and maintaining the Megomat 600 crimping station.
• Preparing the machine for production, running production, inspecting the work order for quality defects, and assist in moving the work order through the crimping department in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines.
• Managing the tools and applicators for the Megomat and other equipment in the crimping department.
• Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
• Working with the vendor to maintain the equipment in excellent working order.
• Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
• Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
• Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements of the Machine Operator:

• Extensive experience, training and education in mechanical systems and their operation.
• Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong measuring skills and good math skills are necessary.
• A self-starter who can work efficiently and accurately.
• Takes pride in the quality of their work.
• Must be able to orders and directions in English.
• Work with others, take direction and work as a team.
• Follows standard operating procedures and guidance.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
