Quality Control Technician

Northland Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. This is 3rd shift position working Monday-Friday 11PM-730AM. Initial training will last about one week on a day time basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards by conducting thorough inspections and tests. This position requires familiarity with various quality management systems and regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and CGMP. The Quality Control Lab Technician will utilize precision measuring instruments and data collection techniques to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
  • Conduct analysis of test results and document findings in accordance with ISO 9001 and HACCP guidelines.
  • Participate in quality audits to ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Calypso software for measurement data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of quality management processes and procedures.
  • Support training initiatives related to quality assurance practices within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a quality control or laboratory environment, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Training will start on 1st shift and then transition to a full time third shift role.
