Northland Staffing Solutions is hiring several people for Machine Operator and Production Assistant positions for our client located in Hopkins, MN. This company is a leading metal manufacturer with career advancement opportunities. These positions are working 10 hour shifts on a 2nd shift.
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
- Know and follow safety rules for machine/tasks performed
- The majority of the production helper time is supporting operations in parts handling, slitting, and shearing
- Handle/Feed/Stack parts under directions Set-up Techs. or lead set-up techs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace
- Perform all other duties as required for the continued successful operation of the business, including but not limited to operation of alternate or multiple production lines. Line assignments will be as needed by customer demand and as directed by Plant Manager.
- Measure material as needed using tape measure. Use of calipers and micrometers as needed.

Requirements of the Machine Operator:
- Must understand/follow directions in English
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
- Capable of using measuring devices including a tape measure
- Previous Machine Operator experience preferred
- Experience with Punch Press helpful
- Experience in Machine Shop Setting Preferred
