We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

The qualified person needs to be able to perform all essential job functions and complete the required safety training.

Job Duties:

1) Assure that the packaging machines are running at standard speeds or supervisors

recommendation and to proper quality specifications.

2) Setup, maintain, shut down and drain the packaging machines according to the production schedule or Supervisor’s direction.

3) Troubleshoot and repair the machinery as needed to keep up with production.

4) Monitor the production equipment and report any problems that cannot be immediately handled to the Supervisor.

5) Keep the tyer supplied with strapping as needed.

6) Keep the adhesive supplied, glue pot filled, and boxmakers supplied with boxes.

7) Work with other Maintenance and Rollstock personnel as a team, to keep the equipment running.

8) Rollstock job duties as assigned by Supervisor

9) Clean equipment when necessary or any other related duties as directed by Supervisor.

10) Participate in machine and in general plant maintenance and repair as needed.

11) Participate in the installation of new machinery as needed.

13) Work on assigned work orders when not busy with machine breakdowns.

14) Perform weekly machine inspections.

Essential job functions:

1) Keep packaging machines running.

2) Maneuver around machinery 100% of the workday.

3) Climb ladders/stairs as needed throughout the day.

4) Lift heavy, even or uneven loads weighing up to 64 pounds as needed.

5) Bend or squat 25-50% of the workday.

6) Work in small or tight work areas due to equipment positioning.

7) Work/Walk cautiously on slippery floors.

8) Work on elevated platforms.

9) Work in a hot, humid or cold environment.

10) Work in a noisy, wet and odorous environment.

11) Hear and communicate respectfully with others in noise, to insure quality and safety.

12) Wear hearing protection at all times when in the fry room area.

13) Meet the safety training requirements for the line maintenance mechanic job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 – $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
